Our daughter is getting married in November and we needed a way to put several hundred photos for her slideshow on a zip drive. PhotoPanda was the perfect business that met our needs. I had all my mom’s old photo albums and they were starting to deteriorate. When my dad passed away, my stepmother gave me a box of his old photos, too. I didn’t want to lose all these old memories, but didn’t know how to store them and still give access to the whole extended family. PhotoPanda to the rescue!
What a fabulous job they did! They scanned nearly 2000 photos, including the notes and dates on the back! I was a little salty about paying for each extra USB drive, but OMG! They’re beautiful, carved wood, gift-worthy USBs. Worth every penny!

At first, I was hesitant to send old family photos in for scanning because they were the only copies and I had no negatives! I tested PhotoPanda first by using their FREE service. I grabbed some pics that had been printed from digital photos so there was no worry about loss. If the pictures didn’t come back, I had electronic copies.
The free trial package arrived promptly, scanning was done quickly and the photos were returned as well! The digitized copies were available to me online where PhotoPanda had placed them in the Cloud where I could download them.
PhotoPanda is a great service at a good price. They do what they say they are going to do and do it very well! I highly recommend them!

Fast and efficient, no need to count photos, they scan both sides (so if you’re old school and wrote on the back it gets captured), came back organized in the bundles they were sent, good quality digital images (I had some dodgy cameras in my youth). I looked at a few services to get my pre-digital photos converted and this was by far the most efficient for me.

Very Pleased! I would rate PhotoPanda a 4.5
So I did the free, ‘give us a try’ type of deal. I was very skeptical. We had been looking at several companies to convert all of our pictures to digital and I happened upon them. I chose a variety of pictures to send them as a sort of test, if you will. I sent old, new, poor resolution, etc. (truth be told, I was pretty nervous about sending the photos and never seeing them again so I scanned the priceless ones at home first and then sent them, just in case : ) )
So as promised; the small envelope arrived in the mail, no charge to me. I filled it with about 40ish photos and dropped it back in the mail. The envelope postage was pre-paid by PhotoPanda. I received an email a few days later letting me know the photos had arrived, and then another email a few days after that letting me know my photos were ready for review and downloading (online). Our photos were scanned perfectly! They even scanned the backsides if there had been writing on them. Then about a week later we received the originals back in the mail as promised. This free trial was 100% free to us! I am so glad I tried it because otherwise, I may not have used them for our future scanning. PhotoPanda’s pricing is so much less than others, I was not sure they would be up to par, they are!
My only complaint would be that on one of the scans, two of our pictures were stuck together and they scanned them that way. Seems like someone would have corrected that. It was only the one scan and everything else was great. We are currently collecting all of our photos to be digitized and will be sending them to PhotoPanda to have this done.

Easy, Efficient, and Reasonably Priced. I placed my order, a box was sent a few days later, I filled the box with organized photos rubber-banded together by group, and sent it off. They emailed me that my photos were received, which is comforting. Within a week, I received a link to my scanned photos, both the originals and the enhanced photos. Each group of photos was in its own folder, which is nice when looking for a particular print. At first, I thought that I was missing a group, so I emailed them. Immediately, they went through my batches of photos and sure enough, my stack was there. I had mistakenly grouped it with another stack. Again, another relief. I would definitely use PhotoPanda.

Yes, with all of our services we return your photos for free after scanning.
What does the whole process look like?
These are the
steps we take to make excellent digital archives of your photos:
You pay a flat rate for one of our prepaid Mail-In packages.
We will send this package to your address.
Place as many photos you can fit into the package.
Take the box to the US Post Office or have it picked up for free.
We receive your photos and confirm over email that they arrived safely.
Scanning will take between 2-20 business days. This large window helps us
when things get busy, but most orders are completed within 5 business days.
We send you a link to your photos in the Cloud. Your photos are
shipped back to you.
My photos are in albums or scrapbooks. Can I send these in as-is?
No, each photo must be sent individually. This usually means you will need to remove
the photos from the
album or scrapbook before sending them in.
Can I use my own custom box?
Customers purchasing the Tremendous Trunk or Cavernous Crate services can gather the corresponding box from your local US Post Office for free.
All smaller services must use the box we provide.
Tremendous Trunk is equivalent to the USPS Flat Rate Medium box. Cavernous Crates is equivalent to x2 USPS Flat Rate Large boxes.

Do you preserve the order of my photos?
No, we cannot guarantee the order of your photos will be kept. Photos are often mixed
around when
mailing, and we split groups of photos between machines and technicians. Photos are also reordered based on size.
If your photos are the same size and bundled tightly together they will likely stay in order.
By focusing our energy on bulk photo scanning we can keep prices as low as possible for those who
just want a treasure trove of their memories.
Is there really no limit to how many photos I get scanned?
There is really no limit. As long as
the
photos fit into the package we send you. We don't charge per photo.
Purchases and Refunds
What if I choose a box that is too small for all my photos?
If the box you choose isn't
the right size, you can upgrade from your Order Status page or contact us and we will assist you. You only pay
the difference in price, no fees or reshipping costs.
How much time do I have to send my photos after purchasing?
Your purchase is good for one year or 365 days. Please be sure to send your photos
using the provided package
by that time.
After a year has elapsed we are not able to refund your order.
How does PhotoPanda keep prices low while being based in the US?
First, we have a large window
for scanning turnaround time. While most orders are done and shipped back within 15 business days, we quote
up to 6 weeks for flexibility.
Second, we ask that our customers do the preparation of their photos. Sorting and
removing photos from albums and scrapbooks is a tedious task, but it allows us to keep our prices low.
Lastly, our machines and scanning process are
outfitted with the latest automation tech known to this industry. PhotoPanda contracts software engineers to build custom
pipelines unique to PhotoPanda, ensuring the
process is as streamlined as possible.
Do I need to add a label to my package?
The package we have sent you is prepared with a free shipping label. We use this label throughout our process (not just in shipping) to keep track of your photos and to give you updates along the way.
Do I have to go to the Post Office?
No, the USPS will pick up your photos right from your doorstep for free!
Go to https://usps.com/pickup/ to schedule a pickup at your convenience. The package type is “Returns”. Please only do this if you can hand it to your mail carrier directly, or if you feel comfortable leaving the package outside your front door for several hours.
If your photos are in an envelope or small box it may fit inside your mailbox. Some UPS Stores or Postal Annexes also take USPS packages.
What countries do you serve?
We serve anywhere within the
United
States and its territories. This includes American Samoa, Guam, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico,
US Virgin Islands, Commonwealth of Northern Marina Islands, and Wake Island Atoll.
Can I change my return address?
Of course! Please visit your order status page sent by email, or contact us at
[email protected]
with your order number. We can
change the address we send the photos back to, or dispose of them entirely for you.
What is your return policy?

How long do I get Cloud Vault backup for my digital photos?
Our Forever Online Cloud Vault Backup is free forever. We can guarantee a minimum of
30 years, but
intend to keep
backups for many more decades after.
How effective is automatic image rotation?
Our automatic image rotation is good, but like all automation it's not a one size fits
all. We expect about 99%
of your photos will be correctly rotated if they are sent to us completely jumbled.
How many USB drives are included with my order?
We include (1) one USB drive with every paid service. Additional USB drives
can be purchased on our website.
What is the size of the USB drive?
This depends on the number of photos. We have USBs ranging from 16GB to 128GB and will
choose the
most appropriate size for your photo collection.
What about the privacy of my photos?
The only photo our technicians see
is the one on the very top, as they move your photos from the shipping box to the scanning machine.

addition,
your Cloud Vault backup link is encrypted, and private to you and you only.
